Dinner for Two; Flirting for Somewhat More
[Thus far, it's been a reasonably good dinner -- one that Edge has no desire to interrupt for any reason whatsoever. So... he doesn't.]
[Instead he simply smiles again, though his eyes show that he's impressed.]
That is impressive. Which one did you prefer?

Well, I prefer hand-to-hand combat. Though... [She pauses for a moment] I do have a new ability that I couldn't do until recently.

[He's not impressed by the fact that she can do it, but the fact that she seems to have a lot of control over it.]
Natural, or magical?

[And to explain...]
People from my world absorb energy from sunlight. I think when... I was experimented on... I got the ability to use my energy like this.

[Of course, his broad wink proves he's no lesser man.]

[She leans in closer with a playful smile]
You're too cute for that.

I find it hard to believe you're ever free for dinner. Surely they're lining up for miles for the chance to dine with you.

[He's a little surprised to realize that he means it! Normally, he doesn't conceive genuine likings of people quite this quickly -- especially when it comes to pretty girls, who more often than not, are pretty as opposed to any other adjectives that really would lead someone to want to be around them for a long time.]

[He winks, amused. How many orange-skinned princesses from another world could any man claim to have dated?]

[Frankly he barely notices it at this point. It isn't really all that strange, after having been exposed to it for a while.]

[She was glad that he didn't seem worried about the fact that she looked slightly different. She finishes leaning across the table and kisses him]

[She moves back after a moment and gives him a smile] That was nice.

[His voice is a little faint, because Edge himself is a little dazed and lightheaded as he leans back, eyes distant. Yeah, nice is the mildest of words he might use.]

My people have the ability to learn through contact as well.
[So then she decides to sign back "It is handy".]
