Welcome Home
[No one could call the two of them lazy.]
[Klavier might be laid-back and typically mellow, but just because a man doesn't burn with hyperactive energy doesn't mean he gets nothing done. His practices -- guitar and legal -- take up more of his time than he lets on, particularly since his perfectionism in the former and attention to detail in the latter put him head-and-shoulders above most.]
[And Athena is nothing but energy, with her bubbling enthusiasm and long runs and lapses into foreign language.]
[So to find the two of them sprawled out on Klavier's couch, having drifted off in the middle of the day, is unusual to say the least.]
[But coming back to normal is quite a transition, especially after everything that had happened. Worlds revealed and people met and traumas and disasters endured... Maybe their exhaustion is understandable, after all, though no one who hadn't lived what they had could understand it.]
[This being Klavier and Athena, though, quiet couldn't last. The prosecutor shifts slightly, the arm curled around her nudging at her as he sort of twitches his way awake. A low yawn escapes, along with a languid stretch of one arm that also tightens the one against her.]
I knew we shouldn't have sat down...
[Though he's in no hurry to leave, it seems.]

[Once you get used to that sort of world, you just sort of roll with the punches at that point. She had this bad habit of overworking herself from time to time. Owning a business wasn't easy and dealing with new arrivals every month on top of her normal business was enough to keep her on her toes at all times.
It was always nice to just come home, cozy up to Klavier, and just spend some time where she wasn't bouncing off the walls with energy or work. Adjusting to returning home was taking more out of her than she thought it would. It was only a matter of time until they returned home, but it was strange that they maintained their memories. Well, the people back home were definitely going to be shocked. One moment she'd barely spent time with him and the next she was in a relationship with him out of no where. Well, they could deal with that when it happened.
For now, she was still slumbering close to Klavier. Well... Up until he nudged her awake. It took her a moment to register that she was waking up, but shortly after she let out a yawn and shifted a bit.]
I was just so comfortable. What time is it? [She's made no further effort to move though.]
no subject
[And she's awake. A little pressure is all it takes to tug her from 'against him' to 'halfway in his lap', which is less comfortable for sleeping but more enjoyable any other time.]
It's that time of day where no one would expect us to be asleep on my couch.
[Not a helpful answer, since that's any time of day.]
no subject
[That was true enough. She knew she'd hear enough crap from Apollo, but she already heard plenty back in Verens every time he'd come and go.]
I suppose we should get up then, huh...?

no subject
What do you propose we do next then? It seems like we have some free time.
[Hopefully she didn't have a case to take care of that she didn't know about.]
no subject
Are you in a hurry to move? Whatever the case, we should enjoy the time together we have, ja? We'll be busy more and more now that we're back...
no subject
Not particularly. I'm not exactly ready to re-adjust to real life just yet. It'll be a little strange not going to my office anymore. Maybe I should ask for a raise from Mr. Wright?
[Joking, obviously. But it did make her think about maybe trying to bring Cykeology back with her and re-opening it here. Would it even go well here though?]
no subject
[To prove the point, or to reward it, or for any number of other reasons, he leans in to press a kiss to her neck.]
Also, I don't think Herr Wright has the money for a raise...
no subject
I'm fine with that.
[So she'll just adjust herself to be more comfortable as to when they fell asleep on the couch. Cuddling up to him, she finally stopped moving once she was satisfied.]
Yeah... I probably won't have that great of an income anymore either. You just may have to spoil me more while we're here.
[Which was sad because she was paid more then enough back in Verens. Now she had to worry about actual bills past what Verens had. But she's teasing near the end of that.]

Who said you could stop, huh?

no subject
Well, obviously. I guess so, but when it comes down to a trial, you know I'm still going to do my best, even if the prosecutor is too good looking for his own good.
[Or it's just going to resort to courtroom flirting and everyone else asking why they're not nearly as much arguing.]

[She let out a small laugh herself.]
I suppose that's true. What I'm saying is, I'm not going to be that easily distracted. What happens outside of the case and the court though... that's different.
no subject
[But the prospect, rather than bothering him, excites him instead,m and his arm tightens around her in anticipation. What a perfect scenario!]
no subject
[She couldn't contain her small laugh to that. Normally that would be a bad thing between a couple, but in this case? It's good to know she can give it her all and it won't be held against her; the same goes for him as well. It was the nature of their jobs and honestly outside of the case, it won't make a difference. Or at least, she's going to try her best not to let it get to her.]
That sounds like a challenge, Prosecutor Gavin. I can't let people think I've gone soft now, can I? [Ignore the fact that she basically is already.]
no subject
I hate to tell you this, but I've personally learned you are soft in some very particular places... although nice and firm in others, ja? [He slides a hand around to her stomach, just to make the point.] But I won't tell anyone.
