For whatever reason, your character finds themselves on a blind date.

Did they sign up for it, looking for fun or romance? Did they get talked into it? Lose a bet? Get signed up by a well-meaning friend? Whatever the case, they're obligated now.

But maybe it won't be so bad...

Should I be concerned about you hammering me too hard? [Clearly she's just in the mood to be ridiculous now.] But really, I'd actually prefer it if you were direct. [That made her grin, though.] If you're a good boy, I'll let you have that hour later to tell me all about it.

[Maybe she might not have guessed ninja, but it made some kind of sense.] Nina, huh? That must keep you pretty busy.

Oh yes. King and head of the Eblan ninja clan, so very busy indeed -- oh, hold on. [Their waiter is back! Excellent timing, too, as he's starting to feel some real hunger brewing here.]

Impressive. [It's a little disappointing that her comment went unacknowledged, but she figured she couldn't really blame him for that.

But then the waiter decided to make an appearance and she supposed it was for the best.] I'll let you do the honors and order for us, since we're decided~

[Well, he might have been getting to that had they not been interrupted. But no sense delaying the waitstaff -- Edge opens the menu to rattle off their terrific "one of everything" appetizer idea, plus a pair of their catch of the day. The waiter manages to bear this all stoically, which will probably earn him a nice tip later.]

[She's just going to lean back in her chair and watch as Edge proceeds to order more food than either of them could likely eat. Maybe she'd have to find a way to bring it up again later since the waiter's timing was less-than-ideal.]

[Food ordered, he turns to her with a flourish and a little bow, then picks up his glass to lift it.] A toast? Perhaps to absolutely wonderful dates?

[Marinette is more than content to follow suit.] To an absolutely wonderful date, and many more in the future~

I like the way you think. [He straightens up slightly, then tugs his mask down with a finger to drink to that. Turns out the mask isn't hiding anything secret and there's no great effort he'll go to in order to keep it up! It's just style and combat-readiness that drive him to wear it.]

I'll have to include that in the hour of compliments I'm going to give you, won't I?

That's what a girl likes to hear. [Among other things. But she might be paying close attention when he moves the mask because she'd been curious about why he was wearing it on a date in the first place. The truth, however, was far less ridiculous than anything she could have imagined. But his face was nice, so she wasn't going to worry about it.]

I dunno. Think you can really last for a full hour?

[Edge glances from her eyes down to her smile, then from her neck to her hair.]

I have a lot to inspire me. Actually I think your eyes alone could keep me going for half of the time.

[She's not even complaining about the mask so much as she was curious to see what was under it! And she's just going to grin as he looks her over.]

[Edge sits back, because he's starting to think he needs to get a little of his footing back, mentally speaking.] But I feel like I'm running the risk of talking too much, even if it is about such a gorgeous subject. Care to tell me a little about yourself?
