The Blind Date Meme

For whatever reason, your character finds themselves on a blind date.

Did they sign up for it, looking for fun or romance? Did they get talked into it? Lose a bet? Get signed up by a well-meaning friend? Whatever the case, they're obligated now.

But maybe it won't be so bad...

"Well now. What do you notice?"

Applejack couldn't figure what had possessed her. Handsome fella? Sure was, but he wasn't the first. Was it that gleam in his eye? She found she couldn't get enough of it.

"If I like your answer, I reckon we can have a little bite of dessert."

[morganknight]

"Lovely blonde hair, amazing green eyes, and a smile that's to die for." Morgan practically purred this back, not even so much as blinking. "This second. There were a lot of other things, but right now I'm having trouble remembering my own name."

[appletastic]

"Don't worry, sugarcube. Or should I say..."

She tilted her head to the side just a smidge in thought. "Well now. Morgan."

She liked the sound of his name, she decided.

"Apple fritter? Fresh and sweet, with a dollop of honey." Yes, she meant that offer literally...but that was just the start. Her eyes gleamed as she held the plate up.

"The accent. How did I not mention the accent. I could listen to you talk all day." And he sure didn't mind being called 'sugarcube', if she wanted to keep that up here and there.

Morgan lifted a hand to take the plate -- or give her an opportunity to get the fritter to him another way. Who was he to begrudge a lady her choice?

[appletastic]

Applejack lifted the fritter in thought, looked between her hand and his eager face...then popped it into her mouth instead. Grinning, she slid up against his side, swallowed, and dared to go for a gentle kiss.

A little taste, just like she promised.

Well. Since he had a hand free, Morgan lifted it to her cheek, fingers barely brushing her skin as their lips met. No pressure, no urge, just the desire for greater closeness -- but he was in no hurry to pull away, as he shut his eyes and leaned in to savor the sensation. And not just the taste.

Mmm. Applejack let herself relax, nuzzling his cheek slightly as they lingered for a moment.

"Oh my stars..." she whispered, grinning like a fool. "Go on any longer and we'll forget everything else we came here for!"

Morgan took a moment to open his eyes. When he did, the smile in them shone brighter than it ever could on his face.

"Would that be so bad?"

[appletastic]

"Well...maybe not, but I don't want to hear any complaints about hunger if we let this go bad!"

She pulled back, plucked up two sandwiches, and delicately nibbled at one over the tiniest of smiles. She wouldn't drag this out overly long, but...she could say a lot with her eyes.

"'Sides, some things are worth waiting for."

Sassy girl. He approved, he liked. "I can't promise no complaints," he said, reaching out to take a sandwich without breaking his gaze into her eyes. "Some days it seems like I'm always hungry."

[appletastic]

"Why's that?" she asked, more sincere than suggestive...well. Maybe a little suggestive. "You've been working hard?"

[morganknight]

"Always," he said, matching her question with an honest answer that nevertheless held a hint of warm promise behind it. "But I'm sure you know as well as I do that muscle burns a lot of energy, active or not."

[appletastic]

"It sure does," she agreed happily. He had plenty to spare, and that meant she was very impressed.

He'd soon catch her scooching closer, giving an appreciative glance out of the corner of her eye.

[morganknight]

Well. Turnabout was fair play.

Morgan scooched a little closer too, with that same sort of glance out of the corner of his eyes and a silly little smile. They both knew the game.

[appletastic]

He sure was fine. And so close that he could surely see what she was thinking, again. Not that she minded.

"You think we ought to get a move on? Quieter spot?"

There were places to go, things to see...and it was a little busy here. Even if the wildlife sure was cute. There were rabbits watching, ears perked...what, did they think she was Fluttershy?

Unconcealed warmth burned in his eyes, which never left hers. Morgan was not a subtle man; he wore his heart on his sleeve, all things considered.

"Yeah... I suddenly find myself wanting a spot a little less busy..."

But rather than get up, he leaned it to capture her lips again, slow and sweet.

[appletastic]

"I know a few..."

She certainly did, all rural, rustic, and with a big ol' barrel of hay. Leading him back there would certainly be an exciting time, but hey. She didn't mind this either, melting into a lazy kiss and reaching up to brush his hair. Human fingers were perfect for that.

Her other hand massaged his back, nice and steady. "I'm not usually the type to dawdle, but...I'll make an exception."

Fingers to her cheek, he basked in her nearness and the feel of her skin against his. She had a kind of vibrancy, a sweet and intoxicating warmth and energy, and her hand on his back was strong and sure.

"Sorry," he murmured against her lips, not sorry at all. "I couldn't resist." And he couldn't resist for a second time, trading another kiss to her even as he shifted around, getting his feet slowly underneath him without moving his head any more than absolutely necessary.

Now just what was that handsome feller up to?

Applejack thought she knew, so she made sure to curl in close. Her arms locked around his neck as they kissed again and again, clever little smile daring him to keep this up.

"Couldn't or didn't want to?"

[morganknight]

"Yes," he murmured against her lips, the pause practically making him ache. He dove back in, downright trembling as his mouth worked against hers, but not so much that he couldn't catch her around the waist and stand up, lifting her up as he stood in one smooth motion.

[appletastic]

"Heh..."

She locked her powerful legs around his waist, squeezing a little tighter than was strictly necessary. Wasn't the best way to explore him, but there was time for that. Always time for that.

"Don't you be tiring yourself out now, sugar."

[morganknight]

He didn't have an answer for that, because the feel of her legs tightening around him robbed him of words, breath, and thought for a moment. There were few better sensations in the world, in his opinion. And lord knows he didn't understand how not every guy in the world was a leg man.

"I don't tire," Morgan finally managed to say, breath hot against her lips. That wasn't strictly true, but his general stamina was pretty much beyond compare. "So don't worry."

[appletastic]

"...you want me to test that?" she offered, trying to sound seductive but unable to completely hide the giggle at the end of the sentence.

[morganknight]

"If you don't, you'll be testing my willpower instead... or maybe my sanity." He was much better at sounding sultry, voice dropped to a husky growl, eyes smoldering and arms tight around her. "Where am I taking you?"

[appletastic]

"Wherever you want, darlin'," she giggled against his shoulder. "But let's just say my place? It's a shorter walk."

She was bold, but not bold enough to say 'his place' yet. Part of her worried the home's appearance would give her away, but it was too late to back down now. No, better now to whisper the directions in his ear, playfully teasing it along the way.

"And then a right at Vegas Ave, and...yeah. Red building. First floor. Here's the key."

The key she reached back to press into his hand was very warm.
